So, this is the last blog post. I never had a blog before, and I din't read blogs very often either, so when I first heard about posting in a blog, I hadn't any idea about what to do. I was a bit scared, wondering if it was really necessary, but now I can say I'm glad about all this. It was very interesting, and I had a lot of fun. I think the post I most enjoyed writing was the one about a walk I'd like to do again. It reminded me my childhood experiences and the time spent with my family, which was very nice. The post that I didn't like at all was that one about Victory City. I'm not sure why, but I think it's cause I didn't like the project itself. I don't think is that simple as say, let's do a nice city and let's be happy. It's hard to grow as a society 'cause we need everyone's help. It's a very utopian project, and I don't think things like that can actually exist, at least not in this time. As you want people to act perfectly, you limit their actions. To me, it seems more distopian that utopian.

At the begining, I didn't think it'd be that useful posting every week, but now I can say it's a great way to improve your english skills. Writing about all sorts of things makes you think about all the ways you can explain them. It improves your vocabulary as you search for new words and improves your redaction ability. I think is a lot better than more traditional ways like answering tests. It's interesting to read my classmates posts too. I really enjoyed Ailyn posts, and I think that's due to her redaction style, though her themes were very nice too.

And that's it, Simon. I wasn't sure about if it was a good idea to take english classes. I thought it was too soon, that  I was going to get stressed. I was wrong. I had a lot of fun here, not stressed at all (not due to english at least), so I'm very happy.

2016

Hi there

The year is at last finishing. I can't say it was a bad year, but a tiring one. As a first year student at university, there are lot of new things in my life, so it was very interesting. I met new people in a new city, and haven't seen my old classmates in a while, though we chat sometimes. Actually I'm already a bit used to it, since I studied in about 5 different schools, but the high school mates have more impact I think. The great change, and the best, was obviously studying the career that I wanted. I think it was better than what I expected. At the same time it was the worst change, since I spend a lot of time on it and get very tired, but it's worth it.

About music, it was  a great year. There was blink 182's California and Calvin Harris' "This is what you came for" and "My way", though it wasn't that surprising for me, 'cause I started listening to them just this year lol. Anyway, it was nice.

I don't watch TV very often, actually it is turned on only when my parents come. I haven't gone to a cinema about one and a half year ago, so there's nothing to say about that neither. I think the most interesting were the series (I watch them online, not on TV), but they were not new. Da Vinci's Demons was really interesting, and I continued watching The walking dead ( but I'm just at the fifth season haha). About anime series, there weren't a lot of great new ones, maybe just Drifters, but is just the half part, so I'm reading the manga ( it's literally the same, from start to end).

I haven't travelled anywhere but to my town in the south, at the student strike and at September 18th week. Since I'm still in classes I can't go on summer vacations, but is okay, 'cause there's only 1 month left hahah

A one-on-one conversation

I think I have already said that I like manga in another post, so it´s not a surprise that I'll write about my favourite manga author, Ishida Sui, the mangaka that drew Tokyo Ghoul. I think it became very popular when it got an anime adaptation. I first heard about it from a friend that likes all this stuff, just like me, I think, about 3 or 4 years ago. I like drawing, so I admire a lot of mangakas. Every one has their own style that makes their work unique.

Ishida's drawing skills, are very impressive, but I think that wasn't what I liked about his manga: it was the story. It talks about a world where are creatures that look just like humans, called ghouls, that eat humans (they can´t eat anything else, 'cause they can't digest them) and live among the people. The main charachter, Kaneki Ken, is a human adolescent that gets involved in an accident and ends taking part in an experiment wich turns him into a ghoul. Then he has to face the dilemma about eating human flesh or starve to madness. I would like to ask Ishida about what made him write this story. People often kill, directly or indirectly, other animals and live beings. We do it in order to survive, so sometimes we say it's okay to kill. What if we were the food of another species? We don't want another humans to be murdered, yet we murder other species. What does make humans different from other animals? Almost nothing. It's true that we developed more consciousness and are more intelligent, but we are basically the same. We say we have souls and other animals don't, but it's all about our ego. I wonder if Ishida's intentions were that deep or not, but I think they were. I would like to discuss with him about this topic, 'cause there a lot of other things to consider. I eat meat. but I don't think being vegan is wrong, 'cause everyone has the right to think different from the others.

An interesting subject

Today I'm going to write about a subject that I enjoy: physics. I've been carrying this liking for physics and maths since high school, but I only hear people complaining about it. I think when you give it a chance and make some effort, you realize how great it is (though it sounds a little weird for me to say it, since I hate chemistry. I'm glad that I won't be studying that anymore lol). I take classes every monday, from 8:30 to 1:30. It's very tiring to have classes 5 hours in a row, but the teacher, Raimundo Fernandez, is very nice to hear to, and the last 1 and a half hour we just solve some exercises, so it's okay. I think the best part of the subject is the way you learn it. You don't just read a book and memorize, so it's all about practising. Electrostatics and hydrostatics are my favourite themes, though the ones that are more hard to me. Now that I think about it, I don't really spend time studying physics, and maybe it's because workshop projects require a lot of time. At least for me, it's not really hard,  'cause I have already learned all the stuff at high school, but I'm not sure if everything is in the common program or there are things that I learned in the maths and physics program. Anyway, since Architecture physics are very basic, it's just about remembering. Some architects hire people to make the structure and resistance calculation for their projects, but I think it's better to make it by myself, cause no one knows it as the person who designed it, and it's even better in my case, 'cause I enjoy doing it.
