A Walk You Would Like To Do Again
I'm from a catholic family. We used to go to church every sunday and take part at every ceremony. Actually, my mom is still part of the church choir. So at special events, we went in procession to a grotto near the town. It's located next to the highway that connect Lastarria and Loncoche (known as La Cuesta de Lastarria, there had been a lot of car accidents), in the 9th region. I never knew how far it was from Lastarria to the grotto, but since the way is very steep and I don't have that much stamina, I always got tired. Going with the people from the town was fine (it´s a very small town, so we weren't a lot anyways), but I rather liked to go just with my family. We used to talk and sometimes I played in the way (then i got really exhausted). At both sides of the highway there are a lot of trees and sometimes some houses. The air used to be covered with the smell of the eucaliptus, and there were seeds everywhere. At the top, in the grotto, we used to put candles, pray a while, and then go down returning home. It's kind of funny, as the way is easy but your legs are still tired. A few years ago I stopped going to church regullarly, and I think I haven´t prayed since then, though sometimes I accompany my family at anyversaries and Christmass. More than a matter of religion, I remember those times for spending time with my brother and parents, specially now that I moved away due to studying, so I think I'm going to invite them this summer. Didn't find a picture of the highway itself, but here is one watching to the town.

It's awesome when the places are full of nature, and the environment is full-filled with it (smells, seeds, animals)
